What is a Drug Free Community Coalition (DFC)?
A DFC is a community led program to prevent and reduce substance abuse in youth. Our local community sectors come together to provide supportive resources from public and private agencies as well as federal, state, local, and tribal governments.

Unite and Partner

Empower Youth

Educate and Support
Uniting the community through parents, youth, schools, churches, police, businesses, and leadership. By working together, we will make a bigger impact than working alone.
We empower youth to lead their peers: use their voice and play a key role in prevention efforts.
We use data to understand our community's needs. We look at what substances are affecting our youth and why. We create programs that promote healthy choices: education, youth activities, training, and awareness events. We support families: providing resources, information, and connections for help.

Prevention
Prevention is our mission - BEFORE addiction ever begins.

Safety
We promote safe environments: encouraging policies and practices that reduce access and risk.
We raise awareness about the dangers of substance use: sharing real information, stories, and solutions.
